An At-Home & Lime Ridge Family Session in Walnut Creek

This session was two love letters in one: the first to home, the second to the East Bay hills.

We started at the family's house in Walnut Creek, and honestly, some of my favorite frames of the whole day happened in the first twenty minutes — the three of them piled on the bed, everyone snuggled together laughing. At-home family photos have a warmth you can't stage anywhere else: it's your light, your rooms, your everyday life, documented while it's happening.

Then we drove a few minutes to Lime Ridge Open Space, sitting right at the foot of Mount Diablo. Lime Ridge is one of the East Bay's most underrated family session locations — it delivers those stunning golden hill views Diablo is famous for, but it's far more accessible: easy trails, plenty of parking, and gentle terrain that works beautifully with a baby in arms. We wandered, played, and let the hills and the late light do the rest.
