I’m an award-winning documentary photographer based on the beautiful (gorgeous!) coast of Pacifica, CA.

Quick facts about me:

My background is in street and fine art photography which basically means I’m a professional people-watcher who knows how to make it look like art.

I’m so deep into the B&W world I actually have a dedicated monochrome camera.

I grew up in one of the coldest places in the world. Any guesses?

I jump out of perfectly functioning airplanes for fun.

My mom recently recruited me into her crocheting cult, so I’m currently making a beanie.

My husband is my best friend and I love him more than anything, even more than our sweetest cat.

I’ve rewatched Friends approximately 500 gazillion times.

I’m desperately afraid of snakes. If we see one during our session, you’re on your own (I’ll probably be halfway up a tree).

Making pictures makes me real happy:)

Yana was wonderful at capturing the core idea of our photoshoot and bringing the story we had in mind to life. The entire session was very interactive, and a few hours flew by without us even noticing. She guided us in a way that felt very natural, making us feel completely at ease in front of the camera.
