A Sunset Family Session at Coyote Hills Regional Park

 

Welcome Hayden

 

The best family photo locations aren't the most famous ones — they're the ones that already belong to your family. Coyote Hills Regional Park is this family's park: the place they come to nearly every day, the trails their older son knows by heart. So when it came time to celebrate six-month-old Hayden, there was never really another option.


We met in the late afternoon and simply did what they always do — wandered, played, chased, pointed at birds — while I documented it. Coyote Hills is a quietly spectacular backdrop for East Bay family photos: rolling golden hills, vast open views across the bay, wide flat trails that are perfect for little runners, and far fewer crowds than the better-known regional parks. We ended on a hillside meeting the sunset together, Hayden in his parents' arms, big brother orbiting everyone at full speed.
